The prospect of a premiere at the Curzon in Mayfair does not fill me with joy. It is on an open main road and there is little space. The venue is awkward to reach by public transport too. So I was expecting some hassle. To reduce the stress level I took a taxi there and back. It was a busy day with the South Bank Show Awards (see 3 part film on my channel) earlier and Enron Press Night later. On arrival it was as expected with flimsy tape along the road and security personnel trying to control the traffic. Some of the media were outside but many paps were outside. Later on we fans were moved into a pen where my co-waiters could get some signing action that was clearly absent while at the wrong side of the road. The stars who passed directly by were all very happy to sign and often pose. It turned out OK in the end, as it often does.
