Legendary actor Kirk Douglas, who unbeknownst to me is still alive, unveiled a new children’s playground at the Hughes’ Education and Career Center yesterday and was the first to test out the brand new slide. The 91-year-old (!!!!!) ‘Spartacus’ star along with his wife, Anne, started a charity in 1997 to improve dangerous and rundown playgrounds at Los Angeles schools and so far have given over 390 grants - totaling $8 million.
