Johnny Depp at Public Enemies - UK Premiere - Arrivals - Part 1 of 2

I wandered over to the Empire at one thirty in the morning to see what was happening. Nothing. My source was wrong. Until the phone call at six am when my buddies from outside the M25 - complete with a Jack Sparrow headdress to be signed - said to get there quick, the good spots were going fast. Johnny Depp always creates pandemonium in the Square when he comes. Fans from all over the world know he signs a lot and make the trip. Apparently premieres in other parts of the world can not touch the Square for atmosphere and organisation. So the place is rammed once more. It is a lovely sunny day so apart from the dual risks of sunstroke and dehydration I sit down to enjoy. As the afternoon shines on the crush gets worse. Lots of pushing for a front row spot. Johnny arrives and does the media and some signing then is rushed into the cinema to greet the filmgoers with co-star Marion Cottillard and director Micheal Mann. There is deep disappointment at my end - but wait - JD will return again says security. And he does and delights the fans by signing the entire line including my mates Jack Sparrow hat - result. He was still there signing when I left to get this edited. But he has probably gone now.
