We at Hollywood.TV absolutely love to see celebs involved in charity work...especially when it isn't court ordered (cough cough,
Lindsay Lohan!). Last night was the 5th Annual Heaven Gala, sponsored by the Art of Elysium. Art of Elysium is a charitable organization that encourages stars to spend time and effort with children battling serious medical
conditions. Many stars were out to support the event. A small list of those involved includes: Estelle, Jennifer Morrison, Amy Smart, Matthew Morrison, Busy Philipps, Rose McGowan, Kelly
Osbourne, Elijah Wood, Jaime King, Kat Von D, and David Arquette!
I've gone to see Gerard Butler numerous times since i moved to Los angeles and this guy really treats his fans well. Gerard almost
always stops and takes time to meet and greet his fans and as a fan that is all you can ask. This might be my last time meeting Gerard as I might be moving in the summer. Thanks for always being
one of the nicest Gerry!
So it was a great day on January 12,2012. Gerard Butler was set to do a talk show and I went to go see him again. Knowing alot of fans
would be waiting i was surprised to see only 5-6 there for his arrival and it was great. Gerard rolled down to sign a fans handpainting and then sign a few other autographs. Everything was going
great till a paparazzi who had been tailing Gerard came running up to snap pictures. Gerard got upset and proceeded to tell the paparazzi guy off. Gotta luv Gerard Butler he don't put up with any
crap from nobody!
Glenn Close talks to Hollyscoop at the 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival about ageism in Hollywood,
confessing that there aren't any good roles for mature actresses anymore. "I think it's a lack of great stories," Close told Hollyscoop at the Palm Springs Film Festival Gala in regards to why
there is inherent ageism in Hollywood. "I think if there were great stories, maybe there would be [more parts]," admits Close. Meryl Streep recently told Vogue that she felt there was obvious
ageism, especially towards women, in Hollywood. She told the mag that once she turned 40 she joked to her husband, that "it's over" and also said, "Once women passed childbearing age they could
only be seen as grotesque on some level." We asked Glenn Close, one of Streep's peers what she thought of Streep's ideas about ageism and Close joked with Hollyscoop, "Well, she's never had a
problem getting a part."
